Young Voices choir at the O2
Tuesday 6th February 2018
Wow...what a spectacular time our school choir had today when they travelled to the O2 Arena in London to participate in the Young Voices choir! Joined by 7,000 other youngsters, the children had spent months of determined rehearsing for the big day and they definitely didn't disappoint. Belting out a whole range of classic songs (both modern and from further back), it was a pleasure to see the children singing with such enthusiasm and gusto to an audience of thousands of eager parents and friends.
It was a very long day- the children had initially arrived at 12pm and had eaten lunch before beginning rehearsals at 1pm. They did a great job of impressing everyone with how well they'd learnt their words before the show began in the evening. As well as their super singing, the children were also treated to street dancing and beat boxing too (as well as getting to see mums and dads dancing along to the 'audience participation' song!).
The show eventually finished at around 9pm, and although tired, the children left the O2 with smiles on their faces and still managed to continue singing all the way back to the minibus! Well done everybody- you represented the school amazingly.
