Teaching Talons
Friday 3rd May 2019
Year 4 were visited by some furry, scaly, hairy and spiky creatures today when our friends from Teaching Talons came in to help the children learn all about habitats and adaptation. There were a whole range of creatures who came to say hello, including a bearded dragon, hedgehog, tortoise, owls, mice and even Chip the dog! The animals were used to teach all about how creatures are adapted to suit the environments they live in and it was fantastic for the children. who got to view the animals close up and see first hand how their bodies are adapted. The children were very respectful of their guests (human or otherwise!) and were like sponges, absorbing all the new information they were being given!
