Year 4, 5 & 6 - Luton Schools Cross Country Relay Competition

Our best runners in Years 4, 5 and 6 took part in the Luton Schools Cross Country Relay Competition.   The teams of four, each ran in the relay race around a 1.5km course competing against schools from all over Luton. 

All our athletes performed brilliantly, not only during the physically tough running challenge but also in their support of others and general behaviour throughout the event. Chantry had some very strong and determined performances highlighting the team’s ability to show resilience and patience in the chilly and windy weather conditions.  

Our Year 5 girls team won their race gaining a gold medal each, the Year 6 girls finished second gaining a silver medal each and our mixed team finished third and were presented with a bronze medal each.  

It is always a pleasure to see our children consistently gaining success in their sporting opportunities here at Chantry. Myself and the team always endeavour to support our young athletes to the best of our ability so that they may flourish in this early phase of their sporting experiences. This event was an absolute pleasure to be a part of, the children really made us proud.
