Year 2 WOW trip to Woburn Safari park
Tuesday 20th February 2018
On Tuesday, Year Two went to Woburn Safari Park. It was our WOW to kick start our learning all about endangered animals and the sort of things humans are doing which threatens our wonderful world.
The children had a super time, we saw lots of amazing animals and luckily as the weather was fairly kind to us the safari drive was brilliant. We saw Lions, tigers and bears really close up but the best part was when the monkeys climbed all over the coach!
The day continued with the children looking at other amazing animals by foot, the very important lunch break, feeding tropical birds and a session in the classroom learning about the endangered animals at Woburn. Considering this was only the second day of our new topic and book `Dinosaurs and all that Rubbish` the children were extremely knowledgeable asking and answering some very sensible questions.
The day ended with the children having lots of fun in the play ark. It was an altogether marvellous and enjoyable day.
