Reception WOW - Sense-ational day

Reception enjoyed exploring all of their senses today as part of the topic ‘Ourselves’. They had the opportunity to make fruit kebabs and taste different foods to see the difference between salty, sweet, bitter and sour flavours. They were hands on in strawberry jelly and also went on a listening walk to use their sense of hearing. Children also used their sense of smell when playing with the play dough, making ‘Fabreze’ flowers and sniffing scent boxes. They also used their sense of touch feeling different objects in a box. The children used their sense of sight by exploring binoculars, kaleidoscopes and using puffy paint!
