Circus Starr treat!
Tuesday 9th October 2018
We had a double circus treat today when pupils attended two circus shows, using tickets kindly donated by the Circus Starr organisation!
Firstly, our Key Stage 2 VI (visually impaired) pupils visited the big top, initially being treated to a 'touch tour' where they got to meet the performers and handle the circus performance equipment and even have a turn using it! They then got to watch the afternoon performance of the high-flying, breath-taking show.
Then later on, in the early evening, a lucky group of Year 2 pupils headed over to the venue to catch the show, laughing at the entertaining clown, the daredevil acrobats, the skilful jugglers and the captivating tight-rope walkers. It was an extra special treat as the children got to meet new friends as some of the Year 3 pupils from Whitefield also came along to enjoy the show.
It was a wonderful experience for all involved and really provided the children with some truly magical memories. An ENORMOUS thank you to our friends at Circus Starr for donating the tickets to us!
